Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, the Program Administrator, Supplier Diversity & Programs (PA) will direct the activities of both the CU Grow: Vendor Development and CU Grow: Next Step programs and play an integral role in the department's work with the Supplier Management Steering Committee. The PA will work closely with the Assistant Vice President to manage Minority, Woman, and Locally-owned (MWL) university vendors and assist Project Managers in finding appropriate vendors in Columbia's Vendor Management System. This includes searching supplier Diversity databases and past project lists to identify firms.

The Program Administrator will design and implement initiatives of the CU Grow Vendor Development and CU Grow: Next Step programs including providing guidance to participating businesses, organize furniture pick up and drop off, schedule monthly tenants to participate in CU Grow: Next Step and schedule de-briefs for firms who have bid on but were not awarded projects with the University. The Program Administrator will also direct communications with program partners to ensure success.

This position will coordinate all weekly departmental reports and recurring meetings including: Weekly Staff meetings, Monthly Manhattanville MWL meetings, Quarterly MWL Manahttanville meetings, as well as, adhoc meetings for the department. The Program Administrator will assist the Assistant Vice President with MWL Vendor searches and approvals. He/She will also be responsible for conducting outreach to community-based organizations and local schools to highlight departmental programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will also serve as a liaison with Tenant Interim Lease (TIL) tenant groups.

In addition, the Program Administrator will be responsible for creating reports on demand. The accuracy and timeliness of data input and reports are critical to decision making.

May participate in the supervision and completion of special projects as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Bachelor's degree and/or it's equivalent required, in addition to, a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.

Experience working with diverse community based organizations and program development. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, work with diplomacy and efficiency in a high pressure environment.

Excellent organizational ability, as well as, the ability to manage deadlines and relate to all levels of personnel is required. Ability to communicate and work well with diverse audiences is required. Must be highly detail oriented.

Diplomacy, tact and discretion required. Must be willing to work extended and irregular hours as required. Must be able to work well with senior level administrators. Spanish speaking capability is a plus.
