Kforce Lead QA Automation Engineer in New York, New York

Kforce is working with a growing e-Commerce firm located in the heart of New York, New York (NY) to find a Lead QA Automation Engineer. Summary:They are looking for a hands-on Lead QA Automation Engineer/SDET with experience building, mentoring, and leading teams of QA Engineers performing manual and automated testing in a variety of tech stacks and applications across an enterprise. A candidate must have strong automation experience and be able to code in Python, Java, or Ruby. This is an exciting time to join this firm as they are looking to expand their QA group. Lead QA Automation Engineer/SDET - duties/responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of testers and QA engineers

  • Manage 3rd party providers of onshore/offshore QA service providers

  • Decide and own tools, processes, and frameworks used by the QA department

  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment to understand product requirements and functionalities

  • Design test plans and test cases using test case management systems such as TestLink or TestRail

  • Develop and maintain automation systems for use in development and testing cycles

  • Write and execute various types of test cases such as integration, stress, and performance, UI, and E2Emtesting

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and/or demonstrated capability through previous experience and education to perform job responsibilities

  • Extensive hands-on work experience in software QA, particularity web applications, ideally e-Commerce

  • Expert in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes and exposure to latest test frameworks

  • Hands on expertise in using/maintaining different test automation frameworks, including Selenium WebDriver with Java

  • Understanding of CI is must (CI tools, techniques and enablement of automated tests using CI tools)

  • Experience with source control systems such as Git or TFS

  • Experience working in an agile/Scrum environment

  • Experience working in an onshore/offshore model

  • Good understanding of the full technology stack in modern e-Commerce applications

  • Familiar with all aspects of modern SDLC

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) is meriting

  • Experience with testing high volume web-based e-Commerce applications on a variety of device types

  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development frameworks such as Cucumber and SpecFlow

  • Programming in languages including C#, Java, JavaScript, Typescript, SQL, PHP
