JetBlue Airways Senior Analyst Fleet & Equip Performance in Long Island City, New York

Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst – Fleet & Equipment Performance reports to the General Manager Catering Operations and serves a pivotal role in JetBlue’s development of fleet interiors.

The Senior Analyst - Fleet & Equipment Performance will be responsible for developing insight and analysis for JetBlue interiors for current and future aircraft fleets and associated onboard equipment. The Senior Analyst will take a lead role in LOPA developments, galley volume requirements for current and envisioned future product specifications, new galley equipment development, all with the goal of optimizing aircraft real estate for revenue seating, maintaining consistency in application of essential components, while maximizing and enhancing Crewmember work space.

The Senior Analyst - Fleet & Equipment Performance will become the recognized subject matter expert for Marketing, Inflight, Fleet Strategy, etc., for all non-regulatory Inflight requirements and will work closely with the Manager - Customer Experience, Aircraft Interiors in blending the often competing disciplines. The Senior Analyst - Fleet & Equipment Performance represents JetBlue and should demonstrate the company's core values of Safety, Caring, Integrity and Respect, Fun, and Passion.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partners with Network, Marketing, Fleet Strategy, Inflight and Product development on all new fleet initiatives/configuration reviews

  • Develops interior components competitive matrix for all theaters of operation

  • Develops JetBlue’s cabin configuration specifications for all components essential to Inflight Crewmember experience

  • Develops galley volume and Crewmembers workspace requirements for all theaters of operation

  • Maintains currency in galley and equipment technology and serves as SME for the corporation

  • Actively develops supplier relationships and keeps JetBlue on the cutting edge with new galley and cabin equipment developments

  • Proficient in basic cabin layout standards and proposes cabin densifications through innovation

  • Prepares options for competitive Crewmember rest facilities for future long-haul fleet programs

  • Liaise with Inflight and IVC teams on developing Crewmember friendly cabin environments and evaluates and proposes options for Crewmember luggage secure stowage

  • Ensures visibility and open environment for Inflight Crewmembers through base visits and “open door” policy

  • Monitors daily Crewmember reports regarding cabin and galley interior issues, liaise with TechOps, identifies solutions and responds as appropriate following closed loop quality system

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Three (3) of analytical or related experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

  • Strong conceptual and contextual skills

  • Must be able to balance multiple priorities within established time constraints

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Available for travel (30%)

  • In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States

  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of Inflight experience

  • Interiors Engineering background

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or CATIA

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
